Health and Safety

Under Section 2 (2) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Direct Cleaning Yorkshire Ltd comply with those requirements for staff, public and premises. Good practices can also be integrated with clients policies and procedures.

Health and Safety for staff is covered as part of our Induction Training and each site will have a nominated person responsible for equipment, chemicals and day to day issues of health and safety.

The Company's Health and Safety Manager John Field has completed a Nebosh course to improve our Health and Safety proceduers. Accidents and reportable incidents are recorded and investigated. A copy of the report is available on request.

All of the Company's supervisors and managers are trained to the highest standards by direct training services.

The Company carry out COSHH assessments for all chemicals and undertake risk assessments for work functions and any issues unique to client premises.

Environmental

We maintain an Environmental Policy to ensure we prevent pollution, protect the environment, and are compliant with current legislation. We review and re-address our objectives to continually improve our systems.

The materials used are environmentally friendly and can be disposed of safely. 'Green' products can be provided in line with Client environmental requirements as necessary.
